TO VISIT DOMINION
SOME WELL-KNOWN PEOPLE

. Brigadier-General A. F. Home, C.8., C.M.G., D.5.0., 11th Hussars, accompanied by Mrs. Homo, is going for a trip to New Zealand, leaving by the '. Akaroa on July 12. General Homo is Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant of his Majesty's Bodyguard of the Houo\irable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms; he is also honorary treasurer of the British Empire Service League, and from New Zealand he will continue to Australia to attend the British Empire-' Service League Conference, representing the British branch. ..'. -
I General and Mrs. Home (the-name is pronounced Hume) will be in the Dominipn for about six weeks with, the intention ■of seeing as much of tho country as time will allow; aBo tne former' will make contacts with exs'bldier affairs there. It is a great disappointment, that his trip will not coincide with the fishing season, as he is a very keen fisherman. However, healsois a golfer. General Home has been making his arrangements through the Tourist Department at New Zealand House, and is being provided with an itinerary that "will cover the Dominion. His work in connection with tho British Empire Service League has brought him very closely in touch with Earl Jellicoe.
Mr. Hugh Stewart, Principal of University College, Nottingham, is going out to New Zealand by the Akaroa on July 12. He expects to be in the Dominion for only three or four weeks, and to return via Canada. Mrs. Stewart is not accompanying him.' Among the passengers who will be going.out by the Rangitane on October 18 will be Colonel and Mrs. A. E. Stewart, who live at Ballater.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Charles, of Birmingham, will be making a trip to New Zealand by the Rangitiki on September 20. Mr. Charles is very musical.
Sir John and Lady Randies, of Bristowe Hill, Keswick, have booked their passages by the Rotorua for August, 2. They think:of spending some little time in New Zealand, on a journey undertaken mainly for a rest.
Others who will be going out this year include Mr. T. B. Simpson, who is a very enthusiastic fisherman, Sir Henry Davis and Mr. IV.H. Eve, of Luton, Beds., who will go by the Eangitiki in September.
