CHKISTCHURCH, August 8. . Ihe annual pigeon shootingl championship of New Zealand was decided at Leeston today. The conditions were 21 birds, all competitrrs shooting oft' 28 yards. The weathei was dull, with a cold, variable wind. I'orty-four nominations were received, aM the total prize money was £105 12s fi.. At the end. of the thirteenth rour- 1 three competitors. S. G. Glennie (Gioorne), R. S. Taylor, and L. C. Lemon lad all on. Glennie missed the next birt. but Taylor and Lemon scored tho pcsible of 21 birds. A shootoil at five bin's between Taylor and Lemon was won b<* Taylor, who killed all his birds, while .* emou missed the fourth.
