.Nominations for oflieere for the Manawalii Racing Club closed at noon yesterday, arid resulted in the re-election of the president, Mr. C. Louisson, with Messrs. F.S, Mcßae and R. S. Abraham ac vicepresidents.' Messrs. ;H.R. Cooper, L. A. Abraham, li. It. Collinson, ami J. A. Nash, M.P. (retiring members), and Messrs. J. P. Lines and W. G. Shannon have been nominated for the five vacant seats on tho committee. TheJ fifth, vacancy ' was caused' by the • death 'of the' late Mr. Hugh Gillies. Mr. G. C. Keeblc has been nominated as • treasurer.
