BROWN JACK MEMORIAL

Sir Gordon' Carter,1 clerk of the course at Ascot, states that although it has, been definitely decided that there shall be a memorial to the famous racehorse Brown Jack to commemorate his seven victories at Ascot, nothing definite has yet been decided as lo the form this memorial will take.'
Brown Jack has won the Queen Alexandra Stakes for six years in succession, and prior to that he won the Ascot Stakes at his first appearance at the Royal meeting. Jt lias been suggested that either one of the races should lie named the "Brown Jack Stakes." or, alternatively, that a tablet, or placjm* should be erected on the stands or in tin: wrighingroom.
