PLEASANT RECEPTION
IN LEGISLATIVE HALLS
MINISTERS' WIVES RECEIVE
Sirs. D. A. Kansom and Sirs. B. Masters gave tin exceedingly pleasant reception at Parligmient House yesterday afternoon, when a great many Parliamentary people and "Wellington citizens woro present. An orchestra discoursed very acceptable music, and the murmur of voices and the tinkle- of laugnter went on continually, making a happy ensemble, as the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The tea tables, with many delectable "eats," were arranged tastefully with vases of many tinted Iceland poppies and bowls of violets and other spring flowers, while round the large room were groups of greenery, flags giving a bright note of colour in the windows. Mrs. Ransom and Mrs. Masters received the guests. Mrs. Eansom woro a smart black reception gown of black silk marocain, the yoke circular, with wido stitching showiiig palest pink eliiff'on underneath; she had a matching hat and a wido ermine . stole; Mrs. Masters's clianiiiug cuscmblu was1 of prirao woollen crepe with.embroideries to tone, her hat being of tlio samo colour, and she woro also a necklet of vyhito fox fur. Miss Zoo Masters was in midnight bluo with a matching hat, and her sister was in a delicate tone of green with cheeked taffetas trimming, her hat being green also. Miss .Tait (Dannevirke), who is the guest of Mrs. Tait, was in willow green maroeain and hat of a darker tone.
