Mrs. Erie Stevens presented the New Zealanders at the recent Court held at Buckingham Palace by. the King and Queen. Mrs. Stevens wore a Court dress of oyster satin with steel trim-

ming.

Miss-Jean Hofsley ■■(•Auckland) selected a gown 'of -heavy creaui satin, a copy of a. Jans model. It had a high cowl neckline in front Wd^a iriew halter back, which falls 4n.ifolds to the waist.; The dress was entirely moulded to the! figure and was of 'Grecian's'tyie'; a train appeared from a rather unusually 'cfit! skirt which formed two big pleats at the back. The Court train was arranged in a graceful cowl from the shoulders. ■■? Miss Joan Williams (Masterton) had thick white crepe embroidered with silver leaves. The' gown had a high cowl neck--in front and ]ow cowl at the back. The skirt, was on long lines flared at the hem with a "fish tail" train. ' Miss Joan Caughcy (Auckland) chose a' dress of • white with a silver stripe running through it. It was closely fiting and the ruffled skirt was- tied at the waist with a silver sash. -Her bouquet was of lilies of the valley and roses. •

■ Miss Margaret Anderson selected dull pink crepe Pabrillo cut on classical lines, with a simulated bustle forming a small train. The Court train of heavy gold lace was lined with delicate pink. The dress was designed in Paris. Miss Anderson is the elder daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Anderson, of Wanganui. '. Miss Margaret I. Galpin (Marton) had a lovely gown of ivory satin, embroidered with satin and silver. The train was of embroidered satin and'crystal on net. Her bouquet, was of pale pink roses and lilies of the valley. Mrs. J. Sinclair 'Boss, with whom Miss Galpin lis staying, had a very delightful party in the afternoon so that friends could see her in her Court gown.
