HOMICIDE BY, IMPRUDENCE
GERMAJNE HUOT CASE
' PARIS, March 28. The Court found Germaine Huot guilty of "homicide by imprudence," and,sentenced her to two years' imprisonment. .'■,'" She rose in the clock and turned to■wards tho late M. Causeret's father; saying tearfully: "I.ask your pardon. I ask tho pardon of Jean Causeret Js children." ' Germaine Huot, aged 45, who -was accused of having murdered jean Causeret, Prefect of Khone, in' March, 1933,, pleaded that the revolver went off accidentally. Huot wept when tho President of the Court detailed a list of her lovers, including a Royal i Bavarian Duke, Persian and Italian princes, Argentine millionaires, and French deputies and diplomats -who showered her with jewels, furs, ears, | and luxurious flats. ■ ■: The newspapers alleged that the crime was political because, although her friends, lovers, and deputies were warned immediately Causeret was shot, the police were not informed for three; hours, when Deputy M. Picard, who was Huot's lover until he introduced her to Causeret, telephoned the then Prefect of Police, M. Cniappe*
