The plough track was used and was in good order. Diagano has made a speedy recovery froni*the ailment that prevented him racing at Awapuni, and he galloped well. ■ ■ . ■ .- ■ • - Aga Khan (Robinson) and Diagano (Vaughan), hopping off smartly at. the half-mile- post, were together throughout, registering 49 3-ss.ee, with Aga Khan just shading his companion. Eollovant (Feasey) and Carfex (Vaughan) were again galloped five furlongs together. The two-year-old was soon joined by Carfex, the pair covering the first three furlongs in 37 4-ssee. Half-way up the straight Carfex went ahead and was four lengths in front at the post in lmin 2isee. : Golden. Chief Line jumped more confidently, but was no match for Copey, who gave another finished display of jumping. Euri and Ingenuity did, solid pace work, both hitting/out freely. : e O. Cox leaves tonight. for Ellerslie with Golden Hair, and Carfex goes through on the same'train; So'far no Tider has been secured for Golden Hair. V. Vaughan, J.
