RICCARTON TRACK WORK

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHEISTCHUECH, This Day. The weather was fine for training work at Riecarton this morning. The course had dried rapidly, and the inside of the trial grass track provided excellent going. Cricket Bat covered a milo in lmin 41 3-osec,. going very well. Meprisant did seven furlongs in lmin 29 3-ssec, and Trumpet Blast did half a mile along tho back in 49sec, Scarlet Rambler and Heather Glow taking 49 2-ssec, and Copyist going easily in 51 3-ssee. ■ Dollar Prince and Custodian ran six furlongs in lmin 17 l-ssec. The Masquerader did five furlongs, the last half in 50 2-ssec. Variant beat Silver Jest over five furlongs in lmin. 3 3-ssec. Shatter and Imperial Spear covered a milo in lmin 43 3-ssee. Tout le Monde beat Invoice over half a mile in 51see and Bell Hill and Cup Bearer did tho same distance in 51sec. Master Reynard beat Joyous over the same course in 50 2-ssee. Cranford ran six furlongs eomfoTtably, in lmin 19see, and Croupier seven furlongs in lmin 29 2-ssec, Some Shamble taking lmin 31 3-osee. Orris beat Chidden over five furlongs in lmin 3 4-ssec, Rebel Star and Cleaner taking lmin 4 2-osec and Grampian and Eupator lmin 4sec. Pleasant Memory covered a mile in lmin 4G 2-ssee. Count Palatine did seven furlongs well, the time being lmin 29 3-osec. ' : .■ ■ Wild Sky did half a mile in oOsee, Verden in 50 3-ssee, and Davolo in 50 3-ssee. Southdown easily beat Juniper over five furlongs in lmin 3 2-ssee. Friday Night beat Polygraph over.half a mile in 50 2-ssee, Gaysome registering 49' 4-ssec. Diatomous did five furlongs in lmin 2 2-ssee, the last half in 49see. Ranelagh ran a mile in lmin 43 2-osec, Drum Fire taking lmin 46sec. Silver Ring went a mile comfortably in lmin 44 3-osec, Sky Rover and Silver Foil taking lmiu 43 4-ssee. Bright Shade and Jolly Beggar were associated over half a mile in 51sec. Argentic, ridden by his trainer, covered five furlongs easily in lmin 8 3-osec. Metal Bird beat. Weatherly over five furlongs in lmin 4 2-ssee.
