(By Telegraph—Press Association.) : AUCKLAND, This Day;. There was beautiful weather for the final gallops at Ellerslio this morning. The bulk of the work wasr done oil the course, proper, with the "poles'3s feet out. The going was excellent; and some first-class gallops were recorded, the best being those of Curie, Melisande, Senior, Imainint, .Sunny Sky, Star Artist, Royal Artist, Bed Manfred, and Kiltowyn. On the course proper, Burnish and Pomp jumped off at the five-furlong post, running the first two furlongs in 24 3-ssee, and' completing the distance in lmin 4 2-ssee. I^rnisii, who worked very freely, was '• slightly in front at the' end. Curie finished* slightly in front of Epigram and Master Brierly over a mile. He led throughout, running the first two furlongs in 24 3-ssec, four furlongs in 50 4-ssec, five furlongs in lmin 3 3-ssee, and the full distance in lmin 43sec. He carried more weight than the other pair, who.also did well. Gay Broney was in front of Desert Star, with Wee Pat and Kilnmir further back, after a mile covered in 1 lmin 44 l-ssec.
