FIRST POULTRY BOARD
The personnel of the first New Zealand Poultry Board was announced last evening in the Gazette. The Government representatives on the board are Messrs. A. Ironside and'J. Pow, of Wellington, while Messrs. G. S. Bates, of Upper Hutt, T. E. H. Evans, of Mannrewa, ' J.- Hutton, of Herbert Otago, and S. F. Marshall, of Christchurch,; have been appointed on the recommendation of the New Zealand Poultry Association. ~ Authority for the appointment of the board- is contained in the Poultry^runs Registration Act passed last session. This Act provided for the registration of poultry-runs used for the production of eggs for sale. The registration fees are to be devoted to the organisation and development of the industry;
