BANK OFFICER'S TRIP
At si' function at the Grand Hotel yesterday afternoon the. managers and senior!officers.'.of the. Wellington ana suburban branches of the Bank of New South Wales -farewellcd Mr. K. C. Aadison, inspector of the bank in New Zealand, who will leave on Saturday on a trip to England which is expected to occupy seven or eight months. Mr. Addison will rejoin his wife and son and daughter in Australia, and will leave Sydney by the Oronsay for London. . In expressing the pleasure of those present that Mr. Addison was now able to. take a well-deserved extended holiday after many strenuous years, the "Wellington manager (Mr. T. B. Heath) wished him godspeed and a safe return. Mr. A. H. B. Jones, who will be acting assistant inspector during Mr. Addison's absence, and Mr. C. 6. Seolon, manager of the Courtenay Place branch, also spoke. After a toast had been drunk in his honour Mr. Addison suitably replied. The gathering also drank the health of Mr. F. W. Marris, at present confined to his bed in 'Auckland,-who' will be fhe acting inspector until Mr. Ad'dison. returns* ' " ' ' ""'" ■
