STALLS AND PRIZES

The stallholders at the very successful garden party held on Saturday at the Eastern Hutt School wore as fol-' lows:—Produce, Mesdames J. W. Andrews, E. J.'HefEer, E. H. Strickland, W. i". Grahame, aiitl E. D. Harland; flowers, Mesdames Guise, J, Mann, Cook, Baker, and Jarvic; cakes, Mesdao!|3 W. L. Hooson, H. A. Maunder, MacKissack, R. Y. Collins, and- Lines; sweets, Mesdames Power, O. Balls, Bond, and Hardcastle; jumblo and books, Mesdames H. S. Dudding, Cox, Lowe, A. T; Webster, and A. H. Eobins; tea, Miss Duff and lady, teachers; ice cream, Mr. A. H. Eoljins, Mr. A. Smith, and membex's of Eastern Hutt Tennis Club. Prizes for the fancy dresses were awarded as follows: —Pat Grant-Taylor ("Pixie"), Laurie- Judd ("Mexican"), Allan Cooper ("Chinaman"), E. Young ("Orange Girl"), D. Grant-Taylor ("Queen of Hearts"), Jean Mann ("Clock"), D. Tumor ("Milkmaid"), Grant-Taylor ("Knave of Hearts"), Bruce Smith ("Power Chief"), Harold Morrison ("Daisy Bell"), lan Matthews ("Parson"). Two special prizes were presented to L. Hall and Ngaire Alexander. The side-shows were in charge of the following:—Box ball, Messrs. Breech and T. Footer; coconut shies, Mr. K. Footer; and conjuring, Mr. Eon Meek. The dancing of the maypole by small girls in early English apparel proved an. attractive item. The children were trained by Mrs. H. Mitchell. There were many charming and original fancy dresses, and the grand parade was supervised by Mr. E. D. Harland. The prize winners for decorated bicycles wore. L. Bolland, K. Quinn, M. Martin, and J. Matthews. The parade was under the supervision of Mr. P. M. Koimer.
