BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY.

A most enjoyable time was spent by over 140" children of unemployed seamen, as well as their parents and guardians, at the rooms of the British Sailors' Society on Saturday afternoon. A large Christmas'tvee laden with toys was the centre of attraction. Games were indulged in, and a short recital by the pupils Miss Hazel Martin was much enjoyed. Afternoon tea was provided for the adults and ice cream, soft drinks, cakes, and sandwiches for the children. Father Christmas presented each; child .with'.'a-toy from the tree.
