(Special to the "Evening Post.") NELSON, December 18. Continuing their match against Athletic on Saturday afternoon, Old Boys gained a first-innings win by 189 runs. On the first day Old Boys made 3GI for eight wickets (Neale 155 not out). Neale did not continue his innings and the total reached 374, the last two batsmen adding 13 runs. Athletic made a good start, with 100 on the board for one wicket, but most o£ the batsmen failed and the total reached only 185. V. Biggs batted well for CO. Neale took five wickets for 17 rims.
