GOLD PRICE STATIONARY
NEAV YORK, December 16. _ For the fourteenth consecutive business day the price of gold remained at 34 dollars 1 cent an ounce, on which, the dollar declined moderately in terms of gold currencies and closed at, 64.76 cents, down 1.26 cents. Sterling closed at 5 dollars 12 cents, up $ of a cent. The franc closed at 15.14J cents, up __.| cents. For- some unknown reason, an unexpectedly heavy liquidation developed in a short trading day. Stock Exchange prices were down one to three points on a 1,070,000-share turnover. Domestic bonds were lower fractionally, while Government issues -were up fractionally. Commodities were irregular and lower. ,
