PIGS AND POULTRY.
The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Palmerston North, reporte a capacity yarding at their pig and poultry sales held oil Saturday. Prices. were firm with best weaners showing a slight improvement on the previous 'week's sale. Idealisations were:— Weaners, light, 14s to 15bj weaners, best, 16s 6d to 21s; slips, to 265; stores, to 30s; porkers, 32s to 38s 6d. There was a vast improvement in the prices realised for poultry, good hens showing approximately 100 per cent, increase on the previous sveek. Prices were:—AVhite hens, 2s to 5s per pair; heavy hens, to 8s per pair; cockerels, 5s to 8s per pair; ducklings, 2s to 8s 3d per pair; henS and chicks, 5s to 9s.
