CARTERTON QUOTATIONS.
AVright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report:—We held our weekly sale at Carterton on Friday when sve offered a fair yarding to the usual-attendance. There was a very large entry of pigs, and these made good prices. Cattle sold at recent values, and the few sheep offered made market price. Following are prices:— Sheep: Fat S.D. wethers, to 21s; fat S.D. ewes, to 18s; fat woolly hoggets, to 17s 6d; fat iambs, 16s 6d to 18s. Cattle: Cows and calves, to 40s and 555; fat cows, to 47s 6d and 50s; forwards, to 27s 6d and 455; store cows, 15s to 255; heifers in milk, to 40s; potter bulls, 35s to £3 10s. Pigs: AVeaners (small), to 10s; weaners, 13s to 17s; slips, 17s 6d to 22s* 6d; porkers, 26s to 325; so.vs, to 50s.
