DAIRY FACTORY MAP

Hills Dairy Export map for New Zealand, giving returns to Jlarch 31, 1933, shows a total production of butter of 120,472 tons and of cheese of 96,242 tons. Compared with returns for 1920 these show increases in exports of 103,432 tons of butter and 35,487 tons of cheese. The map is of both islands, and shows the situation of every butter and cheese factory in the Dominion by numbers which refer to the outputs of. each of them. It also shows what may be unknown to most people, the relatively high production of the west coast of the South Island. Taranaki and Auckland districts, however, lead in Dominion production. Hawke's Bay aud AVellington districts are also heavy producers. The map indicates situations of freezing works and their killing and stot'age capacities. It is invaluable to all engaged in the dairying industry.
