TEAM FOR ROTORUA
Members of the Kiwi Club will be competing at Kotorua during the holidays. Those making the trip are B. Crow, Phillips, M. Furlong, M. Perry, S. Franklyn, jand S. Bond. A. Welply and L. Schneideman, of the Wellington Club, are also likely competitors. Due very largely to their attention to training, Kiwi Club runners have competed with, marked success this' season. The annual competition for the Everiss Shield has begun, and there will be further events each Wednesday evening. There is . some promising material in the club. Among the sprinters, Furlong, Phillips, Robinson, O'Connell, Knoblock, and Franklyn are going well, and Woodward and Flint are getting down to solid training. The middle-distance men, Crow and Thorley, are hard' at work. Improved form is being shown by Meyers, Hobson, Berry, and Clare —Hobson and Berry particularly. Lee, who has had a season with the barriers, is coming along nicely. Stone is concentrating on the quarter-mile this season, and is training Consistently. The club has some good juniors in Compton, Hut-, tori, Darragh, Phillips, and the Robinson brothers. I7i the ladies' secetion Misses Watson, Murray. Tyfall, and Pearson are running well.
