WELSH EVENING
CHILDREN'S CONCERT
An address to the children who attendee! the Welsh Society's recent party was given by the president, Mr. Hugh Owen, who compared Wales in some ways witli JX Tew Zealand.
A programme arranged by the children themselves was .then given, and included an overture of Welsh Airs by Miss Bowen (wh^'acted as aecompaniste), a pianoforte duet by Ray and Sybil Campbell, songs by Jack Fechan, and Olive Thomas,, recitations by Ada RobertSjPaul Bs\con, David McLood, mid Edna Miles, Olive and Bona Thomas and George MeLeod, and two entertaining competitions.
Supper was provided by the parents, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs. MeLeod, who had donated several prizes and who, assisted by Miss Bowen and Miss Phillips, had helped to train the children for their delightful entertainment.
