MAORI BOY'S DEATH
DRANK FOOT-ROT MIXTURE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) .AUCKLAND, This Day. As a result of accidentally drinking some foot-rot mixture, a Maori boy, William Wiki, aged 7 years, was admitted, to the Whangarei Hospital this evening in a state of collapse and died within half an hour. The boy, who lived with a Native, Mutu Wiki, at Ngararatunua, returned homo from school at 3 p.m. and later joined a party that was making hay. Mutu Wiki, accompanied by the deceased, went to feed some pigs. Mutu left the boy in. the milking shed, and when he came back saw that the boy was ill. It was subsequently ascertained that ho had drunk'from a Bottle containing a foot-rot' mixture which he said he had found in the milking shed.
