BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY
An entertainment-was presented at the rooms of the British Sailors' Society on Thursday by Mr. Claude Sander's pupils, assisted by Mrs. Jennie Potts. There was a very large audience of seafarers, who thoroughly enjoyed the- programme. Items were contributed by Mrs. Jennie Potts,. Misses Rosina Stnithcr, Jean O'Connor, Agues Matthews, Jean Prangton, Mrs. E. Shisholm, Mr. Griffiths, Irene Smyth, Tlielma Watters, Joan Nimmo, jSfgaire' Elliott, Margaret Hearn, Pat: anil Colleen Dee, June Hayes, Laurie Hearn, Minnie O'Connor, Gloria Hassett, and Del^Sandlant; Messrs.' Joe Millard, Billy Smyth, Kevin Dee, and Billy Watters. A vote of thanks was proposed by the secretary and carried1 with acclamation, supper was served by the young ladies of the society,. and the evening closed with ,the singing-of the National Anthem.
