ARREARS OF MAINTENANCE

• For falling into arrears 'with maintenance orders in respect of his wife and child, Dafid James Richards appeared before Sir. W. V. Stilwell, S.M-., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon, and was convicted and sentenced to two months' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended if- lie pays a total qf £30 now in arrears, besides .current maintenance. The matter had been previously before the Court, but wae adjourned to enable Richards to pay the arrears and current maintenance. He paid the former but not the latter, and the proceedings were accordingly brought on for hearing again yesterday afternoon, Mr. G. G. G. Watson appeared for the complainant.
