LONDON, December 13. Ships vainly searched the Channel throughout the night for Vicomte Charles Demanneville, who left Croydon |in a private aeroplane yesterday:morning -for Paris, where his wife is expecting a, child.. Tho vicomte is thirty years of age, and is a partner in an American banking firm. He is a son of Comte Demanneville, a prominent figure in the French diplomatic service.
