ATHLETES AND CYCLISTS

Having considered the cycling agreement, as published in "The Post" yesterday, the administration committee of the N.Z.A.A.A., through Mr. L. A. Tracy, makes the following statement: —"That .in view of representations made to the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, the administration committee of the council, in exercise of a resolution passed by the council at its last meeting, has decided that in the meantime centres or clubs may put on their programmes such amateur cycling events they think fit, subject, however, to the events being controlled by amateur athletic officials. Any amateur athletic centre or club may, if it thinks expedient, utilise the services of such amateur cycling officials as it deems advisable."
