RACING AT GORE
HORSES IN LIKELY FORM
The racing season in Southland opens tomorrow with the Gore Racing Club's Spring Meeting, and excellent acceptances have been received in all events. The two trotting fields are particularly large. The meeting will be concluded on Monday. According to recent advice from the south, the course has had several good soakings lately, and the going at best will probably be easy. Among horses who will carry , support are:—
jMandeville Highweight.—Towing, Signaller, and jMiss Kedowa. Gordon Hack Handicap.—Ventrac, Cherry Queen, and Arden's.'Beauty. Waikaka Handicap.—Palantua, The Smuggler, and Toreador.
