EX-STUDENTS AS GUESTS
A social "evening for past students, arranged- by the committees of the mere's and' women's university clubs, took placo at the Pioneer Club on Wednesday, tho University Women's Club being tho.hostesses..
The guests wero received t>y Mrs, Down, Miss Watson, and Miss Vickery, and among those present were Professor Hunter and Professor Kirk (of Victoria College).
Mr. Miles announced the items of the programme. Songs were given by Miss Fair and Miss Davies, Miss Ballinger and Miss Beckway playing the accompaniments. Miss Hind recited, and two violin solos were played by Miss Reid, accompanied by Miss Vondersloot.
The play, "Blind Man's Bluff," was read by Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Baldwin, Mr. Priestley, and Mr. Yaldwyn.
Mr. Dixon, in. a short speech, spoke of the. possibility of a reunion of exstudents of Victoria College, when the portraits of the first four professors will be unveiled.
Supper brought a most enjoyable evening to a close.
