WEDDING

FAWTHORPE—WATKINS.

The wedding took place recently at St. Luke's Church, Wadestown, 'of Gwendolyn Phyllis, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. It. Watkins, to John Kenneth, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Fawthorpe, both of Wadestown. The decoration of the church included a lovely golden bell of daffodils designed by Miss Molly Cook. The ceremony was performed by the Eev. J. E. Ashley-Jones, and "Miss Molly Withers presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of ivory crinkle crepe, plainly made to enhance the beauty of the lace veil which her grandmother wore at her own marriage fifty-nine years ago. She carried a shower bouquet of freesias and double white violets. The two bridesmaids, sisters of the bride and bridegroom, wore green floral hair-cord muslin, trimmed with green, and organdie hats and gloves to match. They carried bouquets of pink camellias and freesias.

Mr. C. E. Gibbons acted as best man, and Mr. 0. Fawthorpe as groomsman.
