(Received July 27, 11 a.m.)
LONDON, July 20,
It is understood that the British Empire talks will continue for a few days after the conclusion of tho World Conference. Besides dairy products, Australia and New Zealand have been asked to consider tho reduction of shipments of meat and apples.
The Australian Press Association learns that the talks have been marked with outspoken exchanges concerning the implementing of tho Ottawa agreements, and the criticisms of the Dominions revealed in tho House of Commons questions.
Major Elliot brought strong pressure on Australian and New Zealand Ministers in favour of a further limitation of their exports of dairy products.
• Mr. Masters is specially interviewing Major Elliot on the subject .today. It is understood that Australian and New Zealand Ministers arc strongly, resisting the restriction proposals, insisting that Empire trade figures justify their demand that the reduction should first be more drastically applied to foreign supplies.
