MONDAY'S WRESTLING.
♦ The Wellington Wrestling Association announces the.first appearance in Welling- . ton on Monday next of Rumburg, the latest of the union's importations. Although it had been arranged that his first match was to be against Clark, also not yet seen in a Wellington ring, the association later decided that the first appearance here of both these men should be against men of nearly the same weight. Clark is more of Varga's weight, and i Rumburg is of the same weight as Jack 1 Patterson. Hence the decision to pit these two for the ring on Monday. Pat- ■ terson's great strength and ruggedness is '• now well known in Wellington. Rum- ! burg is reported to be the best heavyweight in New-Zealand and wrestles like • the famous Joe Stecher, who was seen in Wellington some years ago.
