FORMIDABLE NAME
The name of a new station on a branch railway in South India will be Adikalapuram - cum • Veerapandiyanpatnam, if the suggestion of the authorities concerned is adopted. Two villages, Adikalapuram nnd Vcerapancliyanpatuanij are equi-distant from this station, so each demanded that its name should be used. One was taken and the station has been rigorously boycotted by the disappointed villagers ever since. As a compromise, a suggestion has been made that the names of both villages lie given to- the atatioa, .
