CHURCH ALTERATIONS
Extensive alterations are to be made to St. David's Presbyterian Church, Upper Hutt, within the next three weeks. It is proposed to beautify the interior o£ the church by panelling the walls and ceiling. The present seating accommodation 1 has on several occasions proved inadequate for the needs of the congregation, and the ■ plans include new jievr seats of appropri- ! ate design, thus enlarging the seating , capacity of the church. It is proposed i to build a vestry at the rear of the church, and this room will also serve as a Bible class :room for the young women's class 1 and as a Sunday school classroom. The alterations will not interfere with the usual 1 church services next Sunday, but on the ■ following two Sundays the services will be held in the Druids' Hall.
