AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALES.
The first wool sales of the new season open in Sydney on August 28. Australia has practically no carryover from last season, and, in view partly of the pronounced reduction forecast in supplies, the general opinion in the trade seems to be that late values are likely to be sustained, and that the gross return for the coming clip will balance somewhat above that of last season.
