MR. L. J. NATHAN
Advico was received in Wellington today of the death of Mr. Louis Joseph Nathan, chairman in London of the firm of Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., merchants, in his 70th year. Mr. Louis Nathan was a son of the late Mr. Joseph Edward Nathan, founder of tho firm, and lie was educated at Brighton College, England. He afterwards camo out to New Zealand and served with, tho fium here, becoming a well-known figure in tho business lifo of Wellington. .Upon tho death in 1920 of Mr. David Nathan, chairman of tho London directors, Mr. Louis Nathan was appointed to the position, which ho occupied until 1925, when he retired and went to reside at Eastbourne, England. He is.survived by his widow, two sons, and one daughter.
