APOLLO WOMEN'S CLUB

The reception given on Saturday evening in the Blue Triangle Hall by the Apollo Women's Club was a most successful and enjoyable function. The hall was comfortably arranged to accommodate the large number of guests, and the decorations of massed hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, and native foliage, the work, of Mrs. Teasdalo Billington, were very beautiful. The guests were received' by Mr. and Mrs. Temple White,the latter wearing a steel blue satin ■caped gown and a shoulder spray of whito roses. . ' . Mr. H. A. Pargetter' welcomed the guests, and expressed the hope that those who were not.already connected with tlio Apollo Singers would become associate members. After a delightful musical programme competitions and dancing were enjoyed. The musical programme consisted of part songs by the Apollo Singers, items by the Aeolian Quartet, songs by Mrs. Gwen Clayton, Mr. G. W. Wright, and Mr. E. K. Eishworth, an instrumental trio (Misses Olga Burton, Joan Maunsell, and Eileen Boache), and a duet by Mrs, I. Watson and Miss Kathloen Wood. The entertaining play "A Stepmother," was read by Misses Joan Maunder, Vivienne Tait, Mrs. L. D. Webster, and Mr. Kennedy. Among those present were Mrs. Ji. D. Webster (secretary), Mrs. E. B. Pamplin (treasurer]), Mr., Mrs., and Miss Billington, Miss Bensoman, Mrs. Walsh, Miss Maclvcr, Mrs. Watson, Mr. and Mrs. J. Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs. Pargetter, Mr. and Mrs* B. O. Stokes, Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Brady, Mr. L. J. Betallick (secretary of tho Apollo Singers), Mr. and Mrs. Solly, Mrs. Scott Mealo, Miss Valeric Corliss, Mr. and Mrs. F. Skinner, Mr. and Mrs. T. Watson, Mrs. Graham, Mr.' and Mrs. K. Strong, Mrs. Jacobsen, Mrs. Eldridge, Mrs. Daniells, Mrs. Gardiner, Mr. and Mrs. L. Whyte, Mr. .and Mrs. J.
