SMITH-WARD.
The marriage was recently'solemnised at St. Mark's Church, of Dorothy Evelyn, daughter of Mrs. and the lato Mr H. Ward, and Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Smith, Glen Eden. Tho bride, who was escorted by her brother, wore a graceful gown of cream satin, moulded to tho figure, the panel skirt forming a train. The bodice was made with yoke and puff sleeve cut iv one, the tight-fitting, sleeve being pintucked to the wrist. Her long tu.llo veil was worn well off the face, aird hold, iv place- by a circlet of orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of cream roses, cyclamen, and pale pink sweet .peas. The bridesmaids were Misses Cora Potts (Hastings), Mavis Johnson (Wek lingtou), and Joe Smith (Glen.Eden). They wore frocks of coral ring velvet, cut on princess lines, with caps of tho same material, with twisted bands .and bows on the side. They carried sheaves Of dahlias- and begonins in toniiigs to match. Tho bridegroom was attended by his brother,. Mr. K. Smith as best man, and the gfoomsmonwerc Messrs. W. R.ichio and -Les Spencer. The reception was afterwards held at tho home of the bride's mother. Mr. and Mrs. T. Smith left by car for a tour of the North Island, the bride wearing a navy suit with hat to match. : ' . '
