NINE CHARGES
BREAKING AND ENTERING
ACCUSED PLEADS GUILTY
' Nine charges of breaking and entering -were admitted by Harris O'Neill, aged 39, at the Magistrate's Court today. The houses which the accused admitted breaking and entering were occupied by Mario Petersen, Nathaniel Eberhardt, Elizabeth' ', Jairvis, John Knight, Alfred Bristow, Francis McLauchlin, Clarence Carman, Charles Corser, and Evelyn" Wakelin. The value of the property stolen amounted to £121. Of that amount articles valued at £30 only had been recovered. '"•... ■■...'.■• .; Chief-Detective Carroll' asked Jhat the accused should be rpmanded to Auckland as there were otljcr charges pending against him there. The Magistrate (Mr. E. Page) accordingly committed "the accused "to the Supremo Court at-Auckland for sentence. " ■• ; On a further charge of stealing a motor-cycle' and side-car, the accused was 'remanded to appcaT at Hamilton on Saturday. . Claudo Frederick Mallard, who pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering the house of Emma Jane Barnett, was committed to the .Supreme Court for sentence.
