Before half-time Kelly got the ball and sent across to Shankie, who took advantage of the chance to open Swifts' score. In the second half Swifts went into action«at once, and before long they were having things all their own way. Shankie scored three goals and Hawken one, all from nice movements, and several chances were missed through off-side play. Twice the winners netted and were called back for this infringement.
