MINING DISPUTE
NO AGREEMENT REACHED

AUCKLAND, May 1. ••' No agreement in. the coal mines dispute was roached today at the adjourn'l ed conference of representatives of the Auckland colliery compauios, and the meeting closed without making any arrangoment for further negotiations for settlement. A mass meeting of minors will be held at Huntly tomorrow to take a ballot on the question of resuming work at the Botowaro, Benown, Glen Afton, and Mac Donald mines, which have been idle since April 18.
