NUHAKA ACTIVITIES
Nominations for officers, and committee for the ensuing years were received at the recent meeting of the Nuhaka Women's Institute, when Sister' May presided. There- were thirty-seven members present, and the president ad-: dressed the meeting on matters relating • to the. annual meeting, which will be held next month. ...■' Miss Northe (oftho Health Department) gave an interesting and instructive address on baths during health and sickness, members gaing much useful information. The speaker made her statements very clear, and answered questions. A hearty vote, of ; thanks to Miss Northe wa&'passed. : The roll call brought forth' many useful hints and suggestions for the new programme. Mrs. Stevenson (Gisborne) and Miss Stanilands (Bay- ■ View) were visitors for the afternoon. The competition for "bottle of; preserve If ruit to be one year old," ie?sulted Mrs. S. Black, :1; Mrs. H t - Nepia, 2; and Mrs. Brewster, 3.. ' . A dainty tea was dispensed by the hostesses, Mesdames Stewart, Young; McKee, and Kerr.
