THE ECHO

REPAIRS BEGUN

ALL WOOL STILL IN SHIP

The auxiliary scow.Echo, which struck a rock inside the harbour entrance near Pencarrow on Saturday evening, and had to be towed, capsized, into port by the tug Toia on Sunday, was berthed last night at the floating dock wharf beside the Toia, and the tug's pumps were'used in keeping the water in the Echo down. This morning she was shifted to the Bailway Wharf, and a diver -went down and began repair work on the hull. The scow is now able to ride fairly lightly on the water,. although it is necessary for the Toia's pumps to be kept going all the time. - • . ' ■ \ .
