David EuSßell, an elderly n»an; living at 7, Britannia street, Petone, was killed by a fall of earth while engaged oil relief work on the Waihui hill road this morningi He was buried up .to his; arm?, pits by about a ton of ispoil, which fell from a bank,' causing gashes-about his body and extensive injuries, to.ono leg; He was extneated by fellow-workers, but was found to be dead when examined by Di.
