TWO MEN MISSING

A WELLINGTON PARTY

Residents of Pirinoa, Wairarapa, and a party of police are searching today for Mr. Ben Campbell, a member of a^ Wellington duck-shooting party, and Mr. Tim Anderson, an employee at Mr. Arthur Warren's station, who set off together at about 1 a.m. yesterday to lay decoys on Lake Ferry. Since then they have not been seen.

The small boat uses by the two men was found capsized in the water near the Lake Ferry Hotel between ■ 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. The oars were found floating about.lOO yards away. It is feared; that the frail craft capsized in the "Narrows" and was afterwards car^ ried to the shore by the wind.

A sporting dog which accompanied Messrs. Campbell and Anderson when they left for the lake returned h6me alone about midday yesterday, and later disappeared. •Mr, Campbell,' who is a well-known; Wellington sportsman and a member, of the firm of D.
