H. R. Pollock, the' Petbne representative in this'year's''New Zealand : Rugby team, was farewelled at a dance held by' the Petone Rugby. Football Club in the Labour Hall last night. .. The Mayor of Petone (Mr. D. McKenzie) congratulated Pollock, and said that he was following in the footsteps of his late. father, and had brought. signal honours to his native town. While players such as Pollock were in the game there was no doubt that Rugby would become increasingly popular with the people, and the honour accorded Pollock was considered weir merited.
