MOTOR ACCIDENTS
THREE PEOPLE INJURED
Three people received injuries as the result of motor accidents yesterday afternoon.
The most serious case was that of Mr. W. H. Tester, an office cleaner living at 2, Kanfurly terrace, who suffered a broken leg and abrasions to the scalp. Ho was knocked down by a motor-car in Lambton quay,,almost, opposite the Magistrate's Court, at 5 p.m. After receiving medical attention ho was taken to Hospital by. the ambulance.
Earlier in the afternoon a rather serious accident occurred at'Petone, when a motor-cycle ridden by Mr. W. Wilson, of 7.0, Ava,street, Petoue, collided with a car driven by Mr. H. N. Hanson, of Bandwick crescent, Moera, at tho intersection of Cuba street and tho Esplanado. Mr. Wilson was thrown from his machine and sustained a compound fracture of tho upper jaw, a severe lacerated wound to the neck, abrasions to his hands, concussion, and shock. He received medical attention, and was later taken to hospital. About 5.15 p.m. Mr. H. J. Price, of 36, Evans Bay road, was knocked down by a motor-car at the intersection |of Manners and Willis streets. Ho roceived attention from the ambulance, and was subsequently taken to his home.
