ROBOT MINSTREL BAND

The initial performances by the Robot Jubilee Minstrel Band attracted considerable interest yesterday afternoon and last night, and those who attended had an opportunity of seeing the extent to which life-like representations of performing minstrels* have been perfected. The members of the orchestra, on their well-ap-pointed stage, pcx-formed in a manner which was so realistic as to create doubt as to whether'they were not really human beings. Trombone, mandoline, and other instruments were "played" by the figures, whose movements and facial expressions added greatly to the joy of those present at the performances. By way of: an added attraction a, thrilling representation'of the "Decapitation of Princess Zenobina" is presented, and this act, performed by human beings within a. few feet of "the audience, left the onlookers also in a state of wonderment. The performances arc being repeated to-day and to-night.
