LABOUR'S LITTLE JOKE.
When a Governor-General's Message appeared in the House of Representatives yesterday containing amendments to the Unemployment Amendment Bill, the Leader of the Opposition (the Right Hon. J. G. Coates) rose as nsual and asked the Minister of Labour if he would'outline the changes.
Mr. P. Praser (Labour, Wellington Central): "I would like to ask the Minister of Labour and'the Leader of the Opposition to explain the amendments." (Labour laughter.)
The Leader of tho Labour Party, Mr. H. E. Holland '(as the Minister of Labour rose): "Is the Minister replying for both?"
The Minister of Labour (the Hon. S. G. Smith): "This matter is far too serious for mc to take notice of jokes like that."
