On a claim ' for £271 Sa Gd special damages and £2500 geneial damages mado in the Supremo Court on 6th November by Ernest Dicw, a packer, of Wellington, again&t Godfrey Powei Cla'pcott, insurance inspector, Masterton, for injuries as a result of a collision between Drew'a motor-cyfele and a motor-ear driven by Clapcott on the old Porirua road, near Kaiwarra, the jury awarded Drew £413 18s 6d damages. Mr. R. Ilardie Boys, counsel for plaintiff, moved for judgment, and Mr. E. Pairy, counsel ior the defendant,' moved for a nonsuit, which point had previously been reserved by Mr. Justice Ostler, or, alternatively, for a new trial. On-these two questions legal argument was heard by his Honour yesterday afternoon. After having heard counsel, his Honour said that his feeling about the case war "that if there was evidence to go to the jury there was not very much.
