FARMERS AND POLITICS
MEETINGS TO BE HELD
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAWEKA, This Day. Besultant on the proposals of the Dominion executive of' the Farmers' Union having the objective of creating wider interest among farmers in political questions, the Dominion president, Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P:, conferred at Hawera to-day with the provincial secretaries of North and South Taranaki and Wanganui; A suggestion for the holding of a series of farmers' meetings, three in each island, was approved. The first is .to be held in Taranaki, and a provincial meeting will take place at Hawora at an early date.
